Privacy
This page describes the privacy direction for The Frugal Foodie website. It should be reviewed before production features that collect accounts, uploads, precise location, or payments are activated.
Browsing without an account
Public deal browsing and Meal Picker should provide useful value without forcing account creation. On-device preferences such as saved deals may be stored in your browser when that feature is used.
Deal submissions
If you submit a deal, we may process the information you provide so it can be researched, verified, corrected, or rejected. Do not include passwords, payment-card information, medical information, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information in a submission.
Screenshots, photos, and PDFs
File uploads are not activated yet. Before they are enabled, the production policy should explain storage, retention, access, extraction/processing, and deletion practices. Uploaded material should be used only for the purposes described to the submitter.
Location
Location-based features should work from a location the user chooses whenever possible. Precise device location should only be requested when a user intentionally uses a nearby feature that needs it.
Restaurant partners and payments
Restaurant partner accounts and billing are not active yet. Before activation, the final policy should identify the information used for account administration, business verification, analytics, billing, and fraud prevention.
This is a product-policy foundation and should receive legal review before production launch of features that materially expand data collection.
